The pilot edition of DAMN, an international research project that aims to investigate a sustainable relationship with the natural resources of stone through the lens of design, sculpture, science and technology.
The prototype, made in Verona marble, is the result of a path of experimentation and research by the Design 2 Laboratory whose theme was language innovation using different materials. RANDOM is conceived as a wall covering, formed by regular hexagonal slabs divided into two symmetrical parts. The first part maintains the rough finish of the material, the second is further processed with two specific finishes, glossy and satin. The uniqueness of the RANDOM project is expressed in the multiplication of the combinations that allow for building an exclusive model each time.
