First Step is an exhibition prize created in 2008 with the aim of publicly presenting the most interesting work of the young artists of the Academy of Fine Arts of Verona.
Over time it has become an annual event, growing with each edition and developing into an open meeting between the Academy and the territory, a constructive interchange between artists, curators, galleries, collectors and the public.

Thanks to collaborations with prestigious Italian and international partners, in its tenth edition the project has involved the artists in a series of exhibitions at galleries and exhibition spaces in the area, as well as a series of academic awards and workshops.
