QUID per l’arte (Quid for art) is a public art project born from the encounter between the company Quid and the Academy of Fine Arts of Verona, both oriented towards the promotion of creativity as a factor of growth and social integration.
The project involved students from the Academy's Decoration course in the design and creation of a pictorial intervention at the recently inaugurated Quid production plant in Avesa, on the outskirts of Verona.
Thanks to a brief process of active participation involving the employees of the company, guided by the facilitator Maria Antonietta Bergamasco, the students identified the themes and elements of the work to be designed.
On the basis of quality, feasibility and coherence with the themes that emerged during the facilitation process, an exceptional commission evaluated Anna Venturini's proposal as the winner among the twenty-one submitted.
Quid was born in 2012 from the desire to experiment with the re-employment of women in difficulty through their employment in productive activities that respond to the logic of the market and at the same time stimulate active participation in beauty and creativity. In March 2013, the project was expanded: the QUID Project Social Promotion Association was joined by the QUID Project Social Cooperative.
